Can we please compile a list of graduate programs that can be done on-line? I know many require you to come in the summer for a month, but there are others that are entirely on-line.

I think it would be very helpful if e/o w/ fairly close personal experience (or at least research) could list programs that they/their relative attended, if the program was good, did they learn their subject matter well, and did they find their degree impressed prospective employers?

Library Science. I know people who got jobs with it. The field is crazy flooded though. In this field where you get your degree doesn't matter.

M.S. Education @ Walden University
M.S. School Administration @ Grand Canyon University

Both entirely online. I learned everything I needed and completed the same internships as students on campus. Excellent programs and very much honored by school districts.

How was the workload at Walden ? What's the tuition like? How long did the program take?

Walden was almost 2 years because I took breaks between courses. The workload was heavy and it was my first online experience so I wasn't used to it. Also, it was in the very beginning of online distance learning for most colleges so the platform wasn't as streamlined as it is today. If you work straight through you can be done in 18 months. The GCU degree program took 28 months working steadily because of the internship and the nature of the graduate program in my particular field.

As far as tuition, it really depends on a lot of factors. What's your major? Are you taking the surplus that student loans offer so you can keep your family afloat while in school? If you're going for education you can always apply for the TEACH grant (4K grant max twice if you'll teach any STEM subject in a high-needs district). That's already $8K down. The Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program slices another $17,500 off if you taught for 5 years in a high needs district. With any education program there are ways to end up with virtually no debt down the line. Especially if you're already satisfying the teaching stipulations as you complete the degree program.

Graduate programs in Teacher of the Visually Impaired, Orientation and Mobility, Adult Vision Rehabilitation, Low Vision Specialist.

There is a high need for people in these professions. There is a severe shortage of trained professionals.

Most programs have 30%-100% tuition scholarships through OSEP federal funding.

There is a funded PhD program for VI professionals in the early stages of their careers as well.

Most programs in my profession are on-line with face to face over the summer. Here are links to the NY area programs. One of the NY area programs, I think either Dominican or Hunter has all their face to face on Sunday to accommodate for Shabbos Observant participants.

The program at Salus has face to face over the summer & is located near a frum community.

If you want to look for other programs in your state or your country, use this link.

You can PM me to discuss.
