I'm looking for a way to spice up the classic meatball and spaghetti recipe, something with a different flavor or style. any suggestions?

I'm assuming she mixes it in?

I have done a chinese sort of style....
Make the meatball mixture with seasoned breadcrumbs, diced red and green pepper and shredded carrot. Roll into balls, put on cookie sheet and pour about a tsp of tiryaki sauce on each ball. Bake in the oven uncovered
The spaghetti I'd add soy sauce, teryaki sauce , sesame oil ( a little bit) and maybe even a drop of ginger powder.

On second thought, you should bake the meatballs covered. Maybe just uncover the last 5 min.
