A friend is moving into a shared apartment in Lakewood and needs to furnish her room. She is seeking a bed, chest or dresser, maybe a chair and/or night table. Decent condition, reasonable price. Please pm me and include photos, if possible. I will forward to her.

Hi, I'm bumping this up. We just moved to a house and really need some furniture but new ones are so expensive. Are there any used furniture stores to buy used furniture in decent conditions in Lakewood? Thank you.

I know of a used furniture place in Asbury Park which is about a half hour away. You're best off trying Craigslist though.
What type of furniture are you looking for? What's your budget?

Thanks so much for your quick response. We're looking for a couch and bookshelves for my husband's study for his sefarim but need the kind with doors on the bottom. Would this place in Asbury Park have those kind of furniture?

There's a place in toms river called restore. We bought a beautiful couch in excellent condition there for 150$ . They just moved so I'm not sure what the new address is. I'll find out and post it here later.

We don't have one but we definitely don't want to pay 4000 dollars for a set of bookshelves for my husband's study like we were quoted! Maybe 2000 or less would be good.

Regular furniture like couches you can get on Craigslist or other general 2nd-hand stores. "Jewish" items like a 3-unit seforim shrank with doors on the bottom you're not likely to find in such places, and you're better off shopping within the frum community.

You can get a good quality solid gorgeous bookcase for much less from r. Heshy Cutler, with doors, moldings, trims. Delivered and assembled.
He advertises in shopper. Pm me if you want the number.

Up to 1000 dollars. We're looking for a formal gray couch for our living room.

you can definitely find for $900 at Macy's furniture brand new. I'm not sure if they have grey. It may be a bit over $1000 with tax and delivery. I'm not sure.
How many bookshelves do you need? $2000 is a decent amount to spend.

Katz has a selection of beautiful couches.
I think price depends on the model and leather you choose. I imagine they can work out something within a specific budget.
A triple bookcase from r. Cutler if I'm not mistaken is around 1300
Eta Katz has gazillion colors, including grey.

I have a piece of white children's room furniture that I am looking to give away. It's 3 drawers on the bottom with a hutch above the drawers, for display or books purposes. I live in Brooklyn. Please let me know whether you want it and if you have any way to pick it up. It will be my pleasure and it's free of charge.

For a Lakewood person there's a thrift shop for used furniture on Second Street. (Block of Torah Treasures, further down the block near Daily Deals) Can't remember name off hand. They have varied items, depending on what comes in. You make have luck there. It's Jewish owned so presumably Jewish items are being sold there.
