yes
that was the price with a private caterer
it is a big headache

I've called a few places where they said you get the caterer separately. My sense was that it's more work to deal with different people but why such a big headache? Not worth it?

I got married at the Tamir and remember how we couldn't have coca-cola--- we had to have Pepsi-- because Coke is under Rav landau, which you can't have at the Tamir!

My SIL got married there and had the same story!

Can I ask you OP what wedding venue you ended up using? I’m looking to make a wedding in the summer. Small (under 200 people) with a nice outdoor chuppah.
Also, does anyone have current info on Shoresh Gardens? Ty

I started reading this thread, surprised at the prices.
Then I saw it’s from 5 years ago.
Wherever op finally had the wedding, it probably costs a lot more now.

Oh my gosh I just did the same because my son got married in the past year and then I looked at the date and then I said oh now I understand! I usually pay attention to the dates but since it was about a wedding hall I just assumed that it was up to date. I think it's better to start a new thread then to pump one up that is this old.

I've heard the views from the hall in Mitzpe Yericho are gorgeous (I haven't been, but dh has been to a couple of weddings there). I think it's also supposed to be a little cheaper than Jerusalem wedding halls, but their site's down so I can't check.

If you have some flexibility with when the wedding is, you can find slightly lower prices. Friday morning, for example, is much less expensive than a Thursday evening. Winter prices are better than summer.

The view there is incredible, it is very simple, and about 30 minutes from Yerushalayim.
Lol - didn’t realize this was an old thread.

Currently undergoing construction, so see what they are up to.

Sequoia is reasonably priced. Kedma is a little more but very beautiful. Both are west of Jerusalem, near Shoresh, Maaleh Hachamisha and a few others.

Ein Chemed is also nice. It has more of a country vibe.
