Favorite restaurant:
Noya (near the Interior Ministry in downtown Jerusalem). Meat dishes with a unique and gourmet twist (although I wish that they'd shake up the menu more often.)
Favorite food:
Another vote for felafel. The quality definitely differs from place to place, but good, fresh felafel is hard to beat. Our current favorites are Wachad felafel in the Iraqi shuk (Machaneh Yehudah) and Miro felafel in Beit Yisrael (near Mir) - both are Mehadrin.

I love shwarma in a laffa! It is especially delicious in yerushalayim in the restaurant that looks like a convenience store at a gas station. (sorry- I don't know the name!)
