so to take purim to a different spin ... what about normal everyday situations where the toddler boys look like girls because of their long hair ... I've seen pigtails & the like on little boys or even half ponies 
what if anything do you do to make them dissimilar to the girls?
my preference was to put sonny boy's hair into a low pony & clip on a yarmulke - especially for shabbos [he reminded me of a little mafia thug]
I really disliked the girly look to the point that I did not take a pre-upsherin photograph - you know the one with the beautiful locks of hair that you put on display
instead I took after pictures of my big-little boy

Or how about today's clothing styles for boys... You can hardly tell who's a boy in those leggings and female-looking colors and shirt styles!
