I'm trying to find a Hebrew (not Yiddish) name to name after my grandmother. Her name meant noble. Does anyone know of a girls name that means noble?

Was her name Ethel? Several girls in our family are named after an Ethel, they are all Adira.

Sarah means princess. According to http://finejudaica.com/pages/h......htm, Sarah means "noble lady, princess."

What about Hadar or Tiferet or even Tehilla? I like Amira and Atara too as some posters suggested.
I can't think of any Hebrew girls names that are precise synonyms for 'noble'.
Sarah is probably the closest but even Sarah is really more about rank and power than nobility as a personal attribute.

Please don't name your child Nesicha. Especially in Israel.
Tehila is a nice option.

I'm very not Israeli. My friend chose Nessiha (English Nesicha). I have no idea where it passes or not. People find it very cute around here afaik.
