Salty potato kugel help

My potato kugel came out way too salty, kids put in 2 1/2 Tablespoons instead of teaspoons. Is there any way to save it?

Dont think there is a remedy, since it's known when you over salt food you are supposed to put in potatoe to absorb the salt...sorry, what a bummer...cute kids though, we live and learn

Hmmm...
Maybe mash it up and mix with some mashed cooked cauliflower (unsalted of course!) and some fried onion, a little flour or breadcrumbs, an egg or two and bake again as a potato-cauliflower kugel.

well if 18 year olds can be called kids Smile
I guess I can try the cauliflower as kugellets or latkes. Dunno if I want to risk ruining a bag of cauliflower too. They did this for 2 9x13 pans of kugel. YAY ME! I thought I was ahead of the game.

Maybe make a sweet Cole slaw to eat together with it . Might work if everyone likes Cole slaw and the kugel is not way too salty

That's 3 times as much salt so not much to do with it unless you mix it with something as suggested above. How about cooking up potatoes with no salt, slicing and layering with the potato kugel.
