I always like to treat myself to a new book for yomtov. Not much time to relax, but still...
Here are a few I have seen advertised online recently. I like light, easy reading, something relaxing as opposed to a terrorist mystery....more like a family style book...shidduchim, kids growing up and leaving the nest...
Here are a few I think might work for me. What's your opinion?

Bullied by Y. Kormornick
Last Chance by Efrat Singer
A Second Look by Sara Wiederblank
Chapter Two by Azriela Jaffe

hi,
I've read the Bullied book and I can honestly say it's one of the best books I've ever read.
In fact, I gave a copy to my friends and they all said they couldn't put it down.
Haven't read the others, but I do read a lot and this was really good!
Hope that helps :-)

If anyone has the books handy, do you mind listing the publisher? Thanks

I see Bullied on Feldheim's website but listed as out of stock. Do stores have it?

Is Bullied meant for adults or young adults?

Sorry for late reply. Gut Moed.

Bullied says it's for adults and older teens, but to be honest, husband read it and enjoyed it just as much as me (and he doesn't enjoy Jewish novels).

I think that stores may have some, but I heard that Feldheim sold out of everything they had in like a day (I told you it was a good book!)

I do know that stores have it here in Israel.

Bullied is published by Adir Press and distributed by Feldheim

Really? I'm half way through and I am having trouble keeping all of the characters and subplots straight. Thats the issue that I have with many frum novels. Too much going in, and the subplots are often too thinly layed out.

The only one I read was Chapter Two. It was an interesting plot, unfolded well. I think she draws on her experience and imagination to create a different world than many typical books.

Hi watergirl... I haven't read that book but I know what you mean! That's why I was so pleasantly surprised with Bullied - it is very different than the usual frum novel. It's written well, has depth of characters, excellent plot, and I got that - you know - satisfaction feeling when I finished it. I mean, all ends were tied up nicely, nothing felt rushed.

Happy to hear anyone else's thoughts on it...
Penguin - did you get a copy in the end?
