Looking for recommendations. In the net York area.
I don't mind the third bed being a trundle but I need three mattresses.
All suggestions appreciated!!

How about a regular bunk bed with an open bottom (not closed till the floor) with the legs not covering the front opening. (Ive seen some that are ok w trundles akd some that haf the legs covering the front where the trundle is supposed to go in) amd add the bottom part of the Highriser bed? Most jewish furniture store will sell only one part. You can do 33" or 39". This way the their child gets to sleep on a full hight bed. Not like the low trundles.
They arent as pretty but you can cover the opening woth a bed skirt. Gl

We got a very nice solid wood bunk bed from weekends only furniture on coney island and kings highway. It came an option of drawers, a trundle bed, or (iirc) both.
We got the drawer option, and with decent twin size mattresses it cost us about $1100.

Yet they're a die-a-dozen in israel
We have like that but the top one is a bunk bed. That's 4 beds. If you turn the bottom two 90° it fits beautifully in a corner leaving the floor free.

I was going to say that - no idea why they would be unaffordable here, I have seen the poorest families in Israel have them.

I read about them in a frummie YA novel that I finished over Shabbos (Walled Secrets by Dina Neuman, a good read!) Never heard of them before that. You'd think there would be a market for them in frum areas and among those Xtians who also take p're u'revu seriously.

my kids had bunk bed with trundle drawer ... the thing is that we had to use a piece of plywood in the trundle in place of a bunkee board because the mattress wouldn't fit ... and this was with an expensive good quality wood from stanley
the nice thing about this was that we could separate the beds to single beds when the kids got older

Does this have enough room for a kid to sit up in? How young do the kids need to be to not be cramped in this configuration?
