I'm the Amother who had to pay a crazy fee to get my X-rays from this office, so I'm biased.

However, the place looks like a living room in a trailer park. Messy, piles of papers all over the place, worn carpeting. The office staff insist you give you CC # in case of an insurance difficulty, and then if it is will charge you without letting you know. (I have worked in doctors' offices, this is not standard by any means.)

Other than that, I think he's gruff and unpleasant.

I strongly recommend Dr. Karamotopoulos as well. I don't know how easy it is to get an appointment though.

I used Dr Stein once for my son. I did not have any negative experience. The wait was very long though. He wasn't sure if my child needed surgery so he sent me to Dr Patel (who is very good but makes you come back frequently). I've used Dr Teppler several times and was very happy with him.
