If you can do a parenting course, that would be great.
if you want some book recommendations in the meantime, I like in particular:1-2-3 Magic! by Thomas Phelan - it's good for kids age 2-12, and 'The Miriam Adahan Handbook: Living with Kids, Parents at Their Best' by Miriam Adahan - it's out of print, but I found a used copy easily. Both have some really great methods for handling your kids with a variety of things: discipline, tantrums, listening to you, helping out in house, etc.
