my boys are now 5 and 7. do you find that your boys need hanging space in the closet.. we have a tiny closet and I'd love to convert it to all shelves cuz my boys would use that more. but, I don't want to regret this down the line when they won't have wear to hang their suits and stuff...

We found that we needed at least a little hanging space for suits and dress shirts. If you have another place to hang suit jackets, dress shirts can be folded. There are some useful folding or swinging rods available if you just need to hang a few items, like this one that we put in a bedroom with no closet:

My boys clothing consists of pants, polo shirts/tee shirts, blazers, dress pants, dress shirts, Tzitzis, socks, and pajamas.

Pants- stacked on shelves
Polo shirts-stacked on shelves
Dress pants-stacked on shelves
Socks- in a basket on a shelf
Tzitzis- drawer
Underwear-drawer
Pajamas-drawer
Blazers-closet

Based on this, I have large armoirs for them. The blazers go on a tiny section of my husbands closet. Hope this helps.

yes, you will need a place to hang their blazers, suits and dress shirts. Depending if they will wear dress shirts besides for shabbos, will determine the amount of space that you will need.

mommy2b2c, thank you. that's how I have it now. the question is if I will regret it in the future when their suits take up a bit more space...
