Is there such a thing as a good pareve yogurt? Not for eating, I mean for making tzatziki or Indian dishes or other eastern dishes that have yogurt sauces paired with lamb or chicken.

Yes. I get pareve coconut yogurt at whole foods. Sorry I can't remember the name now but it definitely exists.

But is it good for those uses? I've gotten coconut and almond yogurts for times when I've had to be off dairy, and they're perfectly fine for eating as a snack, but I doubt they'd work for a tzatziki sauce. You really need like a sour (like greek) yogurt for that, and I am looking for a pareve version, if that exists.

Yes. I have made Indian and Greek food and it's always great.

The brand I get is totally plain and unsweetened.

Thanks. I don't live near a Whole Foods, but we have a Trader Joes. Perhaps they have something similar to what you get.
