Century 21, Fox's, TJ Maxx, Marshalls (the Manhattan ones have designer stuff) There are also lots of outlets: Off 5th, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Lord & Taylor etc

Nothing can take the place of the original Loehmanns. I used to go to the one in Brooklyn that had a portrait of Freida Loehmanns observing the minions below.

One f the funniest books I ever read is I'll Take It which has a chapter devoted to Lehmanns which utterly captured the gestalt including the knot you used to wrap the clothing in the dressing room when you were dashing out for a different size or color.
