Approximately how many pairs of shoes of the same type do your preteen girls have? Not a pair of sneaker, a pair of shabbos shoes, and a pair of weekday shoes. More like how many weekday or shabbos shoes each.
My dd is all grown already, but when she was growing I didn't buy her more than one pair of a type of shoe because she'll grow out of it too quickly. Since she's my only girl it wasn't like I would be able to give it to my other children. My boys don't care about how many shoes they have and besides for them, if it's in decent condition, I pass it on.

My mom always bought me one of each category and when I got older I bought myself more with my own money.

1 pair of shabbos shoes.
For weekday at least 2. I like when they switch off because my kids have pretty sweaty feet
.

1 pair for Shabbos
2 pair of sneakers (1 for walking/hiking, and 1 for gym)
1 pair of water shoes
She's almost my size, and can fit into shoes that run just a bit too small for me. I'm hiding all of my good ones!

There is no standard answer. When I was that age I had sandals, sneakers, boots, rain boots, school shoes and 2 pairs of Shabbos shoes.

My Dd age 11 has
crocs
2 Shabbos shoes (cuz 1 was hand me down from me)
1 school shoes
I'll buy her sneakers before summer
