I think you need to observe several cheer/dance/gymnastics options to determine which is right for your daughter. See them and decide for yourself.

There is a big problem when we prohibit virtually all forms of sports and dance arts on account of being immodest. It seems like females can't move their bodies at all anymore, for fear of being sexualized, objectified, and shunned.

Some posters mentioned figure skating and ballet. Well, surprise, surprise, some men think those are pretty hot too. One shidduch told me he thinks that ballet is "the most un-tzniut thing in the world." Why? Let's just say his condemnation stems from his personal feelings (eh-hem) about ballerinas in pointe shoes. (That was an awkward date. shock ) ETA: I'm a ballet dancer and former figure skater.

Dont turn something clean into something dirty by projecting sinful thoughts.
