I have always changed my bedding every single Tuesday since I got married.
A week with one set of bedding seems fine to me. But in the past couple of months it has started smelling after a couple of nights!
I (and dh) dont sweat more than we used to and I fold down the top half of the bedding when I make the beds in the morning so its all aired out and I'm just baffled as to why it still smells
Is it excessive to start changing every 3-4 days?

The pillows and blankets and mattress covers might need to be washed, not just the linen covering them. Check the tags and follow washing instructions carefully.
