Seeking more info from people who recently or are currently using him. I used him as a child, but my parents found him overly concerned with money, even with insurance. Did anyone find they had to pay out of pocket even with insurance? Did anyone find that he kept braces on for longer than necessary so that he could bill for longer?Any unexpected issues (financial or otherwise) at all? DS has United Healthcare Community Plan.

I had braces by him approx. 8 years ago. My parents also had UHCCP. Had my braces on for not even 2 years, and my parents didn't pay a dime

I used him as a teen. We had hip, didnt pay a cent. Had my braces on for aporix 2.5 years. Dont remember hearing anything from him regarding concerns about payment. Approx 8 years ago too

I am not a patient but a friend of the family. I suppose some people live double lives, but Jerry is such a mensch, so generous, always helping people, that I would be shocked if he were doing things he shouldn't at work.

I cant believe anyone can say that about dr. steinberg- he is the least concerned about money orthodontist out there. depending on insurance you may need to pay something OOP like with anything, that doesnt mean its right to accuse him falsely. he does a huge amount of chesed and is very honest

I had braces done by him about 10 years ago. Kept them on me for exactly two years. It was a lot of money, but not more than the average experienced orthodontist. Best part - he did a fabulous job. I still wear the retainer he made me at night, and I still get compliments on my teeth everywhere I go.
Best gift you can give a child!
