An interesting and informative appearance by Jack Hanna. Although he's known for being very entertaining, he's also very, very knowledgable.
I liked the fact that he made several points about the dangers faced by gorillas in the wild from human predators -- the people who claim to care about animal lives have plenty of places to direct their outrage other than accredited zoos.

I can't help but recall a Chol Hamoed visit to our local Brookfield Zoo a number of years ago, shortly after a baby gorilla was introduced for public viewing: it was midafternoon in the gorilla enclosure, and Mommy Gorilla was holding the baby. She looked bleary-eyed and exhausted, and every so often her arm drooped. She'd jerk back into an awake state and reposition the baby.
Over in another corner, her massive mate leaned against a tree, taking a nap. Clearly, he'd had a long day at the office and needed to de-stress.
Geneticists say that we share about 98 percent of our DNA with gorillas, and it was pretty easy to see what was included in that 98 percent!
