I want to make skirt steak for dinner. Would love it to be in some sort of sauce and baked covered so it will be soft and moist. Please share recipes and how to cook it, Thanks!

Skirt steak is not the sort of steak you want to cook this way. It gets tougher the longer you cook it.
Best is to sear it or broil it quickly.

Hmm okay. So how would I make it in a grill pan?

I assume you want it well done based on your preference to cook it in the oven.
Heat a dry pan until you can feel the heat about 10 inches above the pan. Add a drop of oil, swirl around (or if using a grill pan rub the steak with a bit of oil instead before grilling) and place the steak down. Sear until you see the color of the meat changing all the way up the side of the pan, about 7 minutes. Flip and finish off, about 5 more minutes on the other side.
Allow to rest for 5 minutes, slice and serve.
Or if not eating right away, seal tightly in foil and leave at room temperature.

Thanks so much. Is it okay if I marinate it in bbq sauce first?

Brush on the barbecue sauce on the seared side after you flip it. If you marinate it beforehand it will burn as you sear the meat.
Skirt steak has a great flavor on its own so it doesn't even need the extra time marinating.
