Im looking for a soft-ish ready made dough. What color wrapper should I be looking for in the freezer section? I dont want to use flaky dough.
And whats a good filling for the danishes using farmer cheese?

Regular flakey dough. The pink paper. It comes semi rolled.

I don't think there is a bought dough that really works for danishes.

I also wouldn't use farmer cheese in cheese danishes. I use cream cheese.

Everyone who makes danishes makes the dough from scratch if they dont like flaky dough?
Is there a dough recipe without yeast and all that butter, etc?

When blended w other ingredients, farmer cheese becomes smooth and creamy. Ive used it for cheese cake in the past and it was smooth.

If you prefer not to use flaky pastry, you can try mechel's pie or kindel dough. The blue or yellow paper. It's more like a kokosh cake dough.
Good luck!

(I think the homemade dough with all the butter is still healthier then the puff pastry dough or store bought dough).
