Also - if it's an electric oven and it didn't turn on, try unplugging it at the wall and plugging it in again. Mine sometimes doesn't turn on and after a few times doing that it turns back on.

as far as I know, you are not allowed to take pareve challah and use it both on milky & meaty tables in case they accidentally become milky or meaty with the food, that is why many people will not serve challah that was already served with a meal or some people take the main challah away from the table so as not to get it milky/meaty ...
with the challah actually being milky - and her entire meal being milky - there is no chance of confusion if something might have gotten on the bread - hence FranticFrummie can eat the challah along with her other dairy delights
