I'm going to camp as a staff member for the first time and am not sure what to buy. What do people walk around in - shoes, sneakers or like a TOMS type of shoe?

Sneakers. You need sturdy shoes that you can wear all day, closed shoes that lace up that dirt won't get in to. My feet aren't adequately supported in TOMS and also get hot and sweaty. Also, only bring shoes that you don't mind if they're worn out and old looking by the end of the summer

For sure comfortable shoes with a sturdy sole as the grounds are quite rugged as well as comfortable sturdy sneakers. If you prefer sneakers that are not quite so casual there are options out there.
