Having company shabbos day and need ideas for a chicken recipe that can either be warmed up on top of a cholent pot, or served cold. Also low-sodium preferable

breaded chicken, either baked or fried, can be reheated.
cold grilled chicken seasons with herbs (if you have a grill pan and can get grill marks, all the better.
you could even reheat fire poppers on top of the cholent in a tin, just start early and stir them every so often.

We often do grilled chicken. Grill it Friday afternoon and it will still taste fresh the next day.

Poached chicken breast served cold is nice esp for summer. I serve them sliced, with several different sauces (pesto, sweet chili, soysauce and tahini) on beds of baby gem lettuce leaves and/or noodles. An added advantage is that you can use poaching liquid as a base for chicken soup for Friday (or use for cooking rice etc during the week if it's too hot for soup).
