I am currently struggling terribly with my self-esteem, having gained 60 pounds on an already overweight body, and having a very hard time losing it. I often feel like, what's the point of dressing up, I'm a fat slob anyway... I know that's the wrong approach. But even when I want to put effort into my appearance, I feel like I don't know where to begin.
I'm tallish, and I tend to gain weight around my midsection (you know, that gross "bulge"). I'm also huge on top. I'm probably around a size 20-22. Can you fashion experts guide me what kind of clothes I should be looking for to look my best? Links would be great, but any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks everyone!

I would think a flowy top and straight skirt would look best. Have great hair, make up shoes and bag and Rock it!

I'm obese and have the babyo dress similar style

I have the xl. They run big (not all those colors come in xl) and it's suprisingly flattering. Doesn't fit me so well though. I have the same problem as you. I'm about a size 24. It's so hard.

There are a lot of fashion blogs for overweight ladies. You may find a lot of ideas through those. The clothes won't always conform to tzniut, but you can modify. A lot of people like Gabi Fresh a lot http://gabifresh.com/, also http://www.nicolettemason.com/

I have that amazon dress. I am 5"3 and 170 lbs. It is actually surprisingly flattering on bigger people--people in the comments said that as well. The baby O one looks even better cuz you can forget the shell. I would try it, the first one is only about 20$ and really cute

I like this with a shell under of course - http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/se....._page

I also think this one http://www.eloquii.com/asymmet.....65963(posted by amother) could really hide a lot and make you look sophisticated too. You might need a sleeveless shell underneath. Try to buy shells since many tops need that underneath and if you already have them then shopping will be much easier.

This might work but I'm not sure if the back will look good ... http://www.kohls.com/product/p.....White

One thing that can be done at any size is making sure to wear pleasant perfume. Also, nice shoes, nice handbag, and nice sheitel/hair also leaves a great impression.

Which size did you get?

I'm about your height/weight ratio and a lot of people said in the reviews it was bigger or smaller than they expected. I'd like to know which size to get....

Darker colors and tops with busy prints look best on me only staight skirts straight simple style tops no waist line or pleats around the bust, tucked out going over the top of the skirt non clingy material or it emphasis the bust

Please don't, or wear only such a small amount that I can't smell it unless I'm hugging you. Like many people, it gives me a headache and I don't want to smell like someone else's perfume.

I actually got a size small, at the suggestestion of another poster of similar build. It is a very loose fitting dress and the sizing is mostly for length. When it is just washed it hits me about two inches below the knee, and by the end of the day it stretches a little longer. It is cuter with a statement necklace or printed scarf
