Has anyone taken a baby on an overseas flight alone without DH? I would like to take my two month old on an overseas trip but my family are scared that the flight will be logistically and practically difficult to manage by myself. Once I get to my destination I will have a lot of family support.
Just to clarify the flight itself is about 10 hours and I am formula feeding. Airline will be El AL if that makes a difference.

Ive flown a few times alone from Israel/US with my two little kids.
A newborn is the easiest. Bring a baby carrier for when you need your hands free, and plenty of extra diapers/wipes/formula/empty bottles.
The flight attendants are usually very helpful.
Show up early to reserve a bassinet seat.

Yes. Newborns are fine.
Toddlers on the other hand...

They're 'easier' than toddlers but I still wouldn't say it will be 'easy' The amount of stuff you need to bring (and on the plane: all the diapers, extra outfits, formula, extra bottles etc) is a lot. That's the age of both blow outs and spit up so you can get it on both ends which can be hard to deal with on a plane. I would only do it for a very urgent reason, not by choice

I'd do it! Flight attendants are so helpful usually. (as are other random moms in the airport btw). Will someone be able to help you get your luggage to check in and pick it up when you land? That age really is the easiest to fly with.

Make sure to give a bottle at takeoff and landing to help with the baby's ears.
