Best crib mattress recommendations?

would prefer to stay under $250, looking for the best crib mattress that will last through a few kids, must be under 16 lbss-would prefer no coils- but if you believe that coils are the best, please tell me why.

I don't have a particular mattress to recommend, but I do recommend a foam mattress and not a coil mattress. Those are heavy and they stain. You will be cursing the mattress every time you need to change the sheets in the middle of the night. I bought an inexpensive foam mattress and was very happy with it. I could just wipe off any vomit, etc. and it lasted just fine (until my kids intentionally destroyed it, don't ask).
