DD is getting married. How much are we supposed to tip servers, bartenders, etc? Do we give the whole amount to the on-site supervisor of the servers?
Please let me know what you did. The venue is not a centering hall, if that matters.

The caterer should tell you what's expected it tips. When we made bar mitzva we were told the waiters are expecting $20 each. On top of the per waiter fee.

Of course it's cultural. AIUI, one doesn't "tip" in Europe; gratuities to service personnel are a set fee included in the bill paid to the business. In the US there is a quaint custom called "tipping" that requires the customer to give service personnel gratuities over and above whatever is paid to the business owner.
