My 8 yr old has been complaining on and off how he is very weak and not feeling well. This is usually mornings and night time. He is bh though very active during the day bh.
His iron levels are low, I've been giving him iron supplement, however when we took blood again, its not going up.
I know there's a lot of food out there with high iron,(meat, nuts, dried fruit, spinach, leafy veggies), I'm trying to get him to eat those, however I'd like to switch him to another iron supplement as well. Is there anyone that has a tried and true experience, what company supplement did u use?
TIA
Any suggestions?

There is something called an intrinsic factor that must be present in the human gut to absorb and iron supplement. (GIF is a glycol protein.) You may want to discuss this with your sons Dr.
