We need to move and open to try monsey. I heard it's difficult to get into schools there. Thing is I don't evenn know which cheder to try. Looking for information about the differnt boys Chederim and which would be a good fit for my kids?
We are chassidish, satmar type family, currently in boro park. Boys in regular chassidish Cheder like pupa, Belz.
Dh changed over past few years, doesn't believe in chassidish lifestyle anymore. Is open minded, would've wanted mo schools for kids, But doesn't seem reasonable at least for now.
I am still holding onto whatever was brought up with, not sure what will change for me. But first we thought moving to a more relaxed environment will benefit us as a couple and the kids too.
Our boys are 7, 10, and 12(bar mitzva this winter).
I'm willing to have them in a Cheder with a mix of chassidish, heimish, litvish.
Anyone can help me out here with suggestions of where to apply?
Tia

Ateres Tzvi sounds suitable.

Bais Dovid could work too, but I wouldn't count on getting accepted there.

Your sons could be together with Lipa Shmeltzers sons in Ashar.

I feel sorry for YOU Maya, for whatever problems you have in life that would make you think I answered passive aggresively.
I felt that since op is chassidic and Lipa is chassidic, she might want to consider Ashar.

Yes I am sure thats what you meant Rolling Eyes

Ashar is a modern orthodox coed school. Lipa's kids are not Chassidish.

Ateres Tzvi would be your best option. They have a very diverse parent body and would allow you to hold on to the heimish warmth and your dh would feel comfortable and by the level of acceptance and friendliness.

Ashar is very modern co-Ed.
Lipa is no longer chassidish.
U can't take boys from chassidish schools in BP & put them in Ashar. I don't think that's what OP is looking for.
I'm sorry Lavender, but ur comment is totally out of place.

Op here. So far I see mentioned the following
Ateres Tzvi
Imrei shefer
Bais duvid

Can someone compare these, how are they different or the same? Parent body, hashkafa, curriculum yiddish & English

Any other suggestions?
Thanks

Bais dovid is more litvish, they don't accept chassidish kids anymore as far as I'm concerned.
Imrei shefer is more chassidish then ateres tzvi. By chassidish I mean open minded chassidish.
Ateres tzvi is a nice mix of chassidish, litvish, modern chassidish. (Sorry if I didn't express myself right) In imrei shefer there are no litvish kids.

Vien is the most like Chasan Sofer- the problem is with these places they don't want x Chassidish . They are for the people that are originally this type. Try Munkatch they're for the open minded Chassidish

It is hard to get into both vien and munkatch. Thats what my friends tell me. I know people that weren't accepted at munkatch because they weren't chasidish enough. Try your luck there but I'm not sure that it's what your looking for. Maybe anyone has more up to date info?
