I put 6 cups water instead of 5 in my challah dough. Will it still be good? Anyone did this? Can I still fix it?

You can still use it, but you'll need to add flour to the dough and more flour when working with it because it'll be too sticky. I did it once and I felt bad throwing it out, so this is what I did. Yes, it was a pain in the neck.

It was not dry at all. It seams to be a good dough. I just wonder if the taste will b good.

Sticky dough is a pain to work with but usually makes soft, yummy challa! Put as little flour as you can get away with so as not to "dilute" the flavor. Put oil on your hands to minimize the mess.

Thx momy4 mommy. I just braided and I added a little flour so it easier to handle. I only hope it tastes decent I am having guest.

It will probably taste fine.
Think of the bright side - at least it wasn't the other way around. It can be hard to save a dry dough after it has been mixed.
Enjoy your challah (and hearing compliments on your baking from your guest)!

Ok some update. I tasted one bilke and it was yum. I noticed it was softer and I loved it ! Yay I'm so happy for all the work I made. I was so afraid I would lose 2 batches challah. I actually added an extra cup in the se one batch bec it was so dry. It was quite sticky so I used flour. So happy
