mikvah night is friday night
can I cut my nails today on thursday instead of friday?

Sure! Why not? I always do Thursday prep for Friday nite mikvah. Not the bath and combing or brushing teeth. But nail cutting, hard skin removal. You may want to ask your Rov if you feel more comfortable.

1) In this case your intention is more for Mikva Friday, instead of the "growing on Shabbos".
2)I think the "not cutting on Thursday" is probably a minhag, preparations for mikvah is halacha.
3) Can you cut them Friday before Shabbos?
