I need a 4 foot baby gate that can be mounted to a wall on one side and a banister on the other. What do you ladies recommend?

This is the gate we have. I like it because it doesn't have a bar along the bottom like many other gates have (and you keep tripping over). It's easy to open with one hand so if you are carrying baby or other items no big deal. Our only problem was that our banister is a very wide square so the pieces it came with didn't really fit on the banister, but we rigged something up with the bands of velcro that came with the gate.

I can't say for sure since my DH installed it and not me, but from what I remember it wasn't too difficult. The hardest part was making sure the post that you screw into the wall was straight so that the gate would hang properly. If you use a level and mark off before drilling holes you should be fine.
