I am looking for some recommendations for intellectually challenging Jewish publications. I am not looking for something like Mishpacha or Bina. There is nothing wrong with them (and please please don't turn this into a discussion about that!). They are just not what I am looking for here. What I want is something like the Jewish history magazine, Segula, that used to exist or a really in depth discussion of Jewish issues. Thanks!

Klal Perspectives is a journal on Jewish issues that comes out sporadically: http://klalperspectives.org/

....only thing is, looks like you can't get a print subscription and I was hoping for something for us to read on Shabbos.

Yes, I understand. You can get Klal Perspectives as print-on-demand and read them on Shabbos: http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/Klal

Actually a large part of why I want it is for my "older teenage crowd," Smile so that may work.

I thought you were looking for something more scholarly, which Zman is not, but it's an excellent magazine. If you're looking for a frum magazine targeted primarily to men and teens, Zman is full of interesting and exciting long articles. I subscribe to Zman and enjoy it just as much as the menfolk in my family: http://www.zmanmagazine.com/

In my opinion Zman is basically random Wikipedia trivia rewritten and printed out for frum people to read on shabbos. Just saying because although it's smarter than other magazines it may not be as scholarly as you may like.
