Did anyone go to NYC Child Study? What was your experience? Were you happy? Were they helpful? Which level dr did you see?
My pediatrician is recommending I take my son there. I called and got the fee schedule. Is it worth it to pay the highest fee or is a fellow going to give me the same report?

I took my daughter there. I saw the 400$ level because I was told they consult with the whole team anyway.
The psychiatrist was sweet and mildly informative. Despite me telling her after our visit that I think my daughter has more than ODD, she said not.
A year or 2 later I took her to Dr Breuer, a psychiatrist in long island and she was finally diagnosed with a mood disorder and given medication. She is like a different child.
I reccomend Dr Breuer, 516-812-9190

Best of luck!

I was really unhappy several years ago. We spent almost five thousand dollars and we got bad answers. We saw another dr two months later and got the right answers.

We took our son there about 10 years ago and finally got a diagnosis of ASD and ADHD. It had been after years of taking him to lots of specialists, even another full evaluation at another center who could not figure out what was wrong. With him on the right medication finally and counseling B"H he is doing amazing. We saw Dr Nishawala who got it right away.

I'm a psychologist who works in schools and that is the first place I recommend for a comprehensive evaluation. Over the years I have been impressed with the thorough and on target evaluations that they have done.
