My husband got a job offer in norfolk and we are seriously considering.
We are a young couple with no kids as of yet....
What are they costs for kosher food?
Rent in walking distance to the shul/kollel?

That's Norfolk, not Northfolk. 
Will you be davening at B'nai Israel? I don't live there, but I understand that real estate prices are reasonable, though not crazy low. Say $900 for a one bedroom apartment near the shul, 1200-1500 for two bedrooms. Zillow and Trulia are good resources.
