Hello!

So I'm living in Nassau county and my daughter who is almost five is having trouble with letter recognition and concepts in general. It's getting to a point where I'm really getting worried! We are leaving her back a year since she is anyways in the cutoff months but I think she can use some help and I don't know where to start! Can you tell me where and how and with whom to evaluate my child???
Thank you....

call your local school district and let them know you'd like your child evaluated for services. they should be able to tell you how to proceed.

contact the board of education special education department, they give evaluations

you need to call & set up an appointment because they usually have a long waiting list ... it could take several months
