Push to get it cut if you can.
3 of my 6 children were born tongue-tied.
Our eldest they refused to cut despite feeding issues. We had to have it done at 21m under a general.
Our 3rd had a more minor tie and we left it as it looked stretchy and he fed ok. At 7 he now has a subtle lisp that the dentist told me is from his tongue-tie.
Our 5th we fought to have cut before we even left hospital which they did. Quick snip, so easy. He has other non-related speech issues but at least we can rule that out as a factor.
