I'm trying to decide if I should be carrying my kids insurance cards around with me in my purse or leave them home and just take them with when going to an appt. I'm always thinking what if I need them, but they take up so much room in my purse. So wondering what other people do.

Yes I do. I'm not sure how they can take up so much room. Unless you have a whole bung of kids.

They are in my wallet alongside my own. This way they never get lost and are immediately available in case of emergency.

Yes. I recently took all the kids' cards out of my wallet because it was much too bulky and got a card case for all their stuff. Much more convenient, and it's still all in my purse.

No
Their ped and pharmacy have copies, so I only take them out if we go to a specialist or similar.
Just curious, what emergency? I once had to go to the emergency room with my kids. I contacted them afterwards with the insurance information. In the states, the emergency room has to see you, insurance or not.

I have a picture of each family member's card, front and back, on my phone and it has come in very handy at times. They usually don't need the actual card and then you don't have to worry about forgetting to bring it.

I happen to carry my cards with me but I never had to use them only when I was seeing a new dr for ex a specialist. The pharmacy has a copy & the pediatrician too so you really dont have to carry them around all the time

We have one card listing all the members of the family that I keep in my purse and a copy that DH keeps in his wallet.

I don't carry a wallet or purse. I have all their insurance numbers on my phone. I take the card when I need it, but otherwise, usually the number is fine.

I keep them in my wallet. I don't always go out with my wallet though as I have my license and cc in my phone case.
I do have a picture of both of them on my phone.

I keep them home unless we are going to a new Dr. My kids Pediatrician puts the relevant insurance numbers on the bottom of any referral they give out so if I forget the card I can just scan it and email it when I get home. My kids have the state insurance for children so the information is easily findable.
I used to be much more neurotic about it until we had a shabbos ER visit where they didnt ask for the card at all. I assume it is because my son gets therapy in a different department of the same hospital. I would really only go to that hospital anyway if I had the choice.
