I would need to see a picture but most likely not.
The style is girlish.

I would say no. It's a girls style.

Prince George is dressed in a very European fashion. Its very different in the US.

If the shoes were paired with something a little more boyish, then I would use them for a 4-yo boy.
I think this whole outfit, with the smocking and peter-pan collar on the blouse, looks very feminine.

I think he's also closer to two in that photo. There's a big difference between a 2 yo and 4 yo boy.
I know my 4 yo son would probably refuse to wear them

I would. In general, I dress my boys very gender neutral, which tends to lean towards the feminine side. I buy them expensive, European clothing that is very stylish, if that makes a difference to you.

I think the prince looks adorable but he is the Prince and I think also a bit younger in these pictures. The red shorts are from the Christening of the Princess which was last summer. I love the way he dresses but if yu saw the pictures of his first day in day school, he was dressed much more like a regular boy.
By the time an American boy is four, he would probably be aware of peer pressure and get teased for being outside the mainstream so I reluctantly wouldn't dress my prince to look like the prince. 🙄
My mother and Bubbe had European taste and I am not sure I am fully recovered from that trauma. 😱 And ironically it was especially true in footwear because they had me wear clunky shoes like the Princesses wore and I wanted to wear shiny ones like the rest of the girls. Mine were also supposed to be better for the feet. 😖😥

I think it looks silly on a four year old.
That said, Prince George's mother seems to really like that style. She should stop before the teasing starts.

Prince George is not 4 years old yet. Also, the pictures are of him when he is about 2.
