Hi, we need ideas for a family vacation near NYC, there are no drivers in the family.

I think that public transportation will take you to most attractions around the area.
For example, you can probably get to most popular beaches by train.

Check out Metro-North, LIRR, and NJTransit to see which destinations they offer, and their recommendations for day trips, which you can extend into a longer vacation if needed.
