Hi.
Twice a day, I do a 30-minute intense walk while wearing my shaitel (I have to wear my shaitel and can't wear a tichel).
Of course, my shaitel net gets all sweaty and I can't wash it every day.
Does anyone know of some kind of sweat band or other product that I can wear under my shaitel? I need something comfy that's not too thick or hot.
Any leads would be tremendously appreciated.
Thanks
Chaya

-get a cheap synthetic one (or an expensive synthetic one if you're vain like me and need to look normal even while exercising lol) and wear that instead. if you're exercising enough, I would even say buy a cheap real one like an elle wig for a few hundred dollars to keep as your cheap garbage one for rain, workouts etc
-definitely don't be wearing a nice expensive shaitel to exercise in! and not one with a lace front either. and yes, too much washing isn't good. you can dry shampoo in between washes if the hair itself is getting smelly or dirty, but be careful putting anything into the cap because you don't want to loosen the knots there
-make sure your shaitel is up in a ponytail so it;s off your neck. possibly wear a damp towel around your neck
-you're probably showering afterwards anyways, but I find that wet hair (not very wet - toweled off well first) under a shaitel keeps me cooler and stays in place
-velvet band won't help with sweat. can't imagine that any grip underneath will. you can possibly try wearing a hair stocking under but it's so thin I don't think it will have much effect sweat-wise

I also only wear a sheitel, and until recently my hair was longer than my shoulders. Last week I stuck it in a clip, held the hair in my hand next to the clip, and cut the rest off. Feels great! Such a difference! Yes, it's shorter than I usually like, but it will grow, and was totally worth it. Plus I wear a pony sheitel but pin the fronts up and behind from my forehead so nothing on my face, and the pony tail is not pulled all the way through so it's like a low messy bun but off my neck. Chaperoning camp trips in the heat and in a sheitel, and I think this is as good as it can get
