Where do you live?
And saying "on the books" shouldn't be necessary. Working off the books is likely illegal but definitely questionable Halachically and morally.

That is not a question for an accountant. Go online and search for a net pay calculator, you need to enter info like how many dependants you have, how often you will get paid etc, and they calculate it for you.

Depends on where you live and how many dependents your are claiming (I think your marital status also makes a difference )

well it could be $2800 or it could be $2000.
hard to say when the only information you give is nyc.
use that calculator posted above or google it.
