Just wondering. I keep mine on all night, dh thinks it's crazy. But we don't have a house phone, his phone is off, we have a baby, what if cv there's an emergency?? BH never happened but I feel it's irresponsible not to have one phone that you can easily grab to either run out with our to call for help. What abt you? And why?

Other. It's on, but only certain numbers ring. Except when I have kids away, and then everything rings.

No house phone. Phone is on vibrate all day and night. Shabbos, phone is on, just in case, but ringer (vibrate) is off.

Off. Apparently it's not healthy to have the waves that are emitted from the cellphone, when your sleeping. But anyway in case of emergency CVS you can grab the phone and dial 911. Also it's nice to shut of our phones and have peace and quiet at night.

It's always on but set to silent/vibrate.

When we had a house phone I used to shut it off for Shabbos but now that we only have cell phones it's plugged in and on Shabbos too. If there is c'v an emergency I don't want to wait an extra 30 seconds for the phone to turn on.

Off. All night. Unless I know there may be a need for it to be one (medical reason or the like)
Im amazed at how many people here dont have house phones.
Do you not have children that may need a phone if they are home alone?
I guess its a new generation thing. I never knew people like that before now.

I voted 'silent' but it's a little more specific than that. I use 'do not disturb' mode which will reject all calls except those on a specific list I set. Those calls ring, everything else is silent.

We don't have a house line.

My babies are still babies but one day when they are grown and expecting their own babies I guess I will leave my phone on in the 9th month.

It's on but on silent. I use it as my alarm so I need it near my bed. If someone calls, I won't hear it.
