Color: Wild is darker

Fat lines: Farmed Salmon has much more pronounced fat stripes, because it doesnt have to fight and work hard for its food, like Wild Salmon does, thereby having more fat (noticeably wider stripes of fat) than Wild Salmon.

Interesting.

How to tell the difference? The price tag: farmed is less expensive!

Haha! Some dishonest fish stores can try to sell you farmed as wild! Im sure many do! Knowing what to look for, cant hurt.

I buy farmed — don't think anyone will switch it for wild! I enjoyed the video; thanks for posting it.

Interesting! Sounds like farmed salmon might actually be tastier because of the extra fat?

Now I'm craving salmon! 😋

I bought wild frozen salmon and then fresh Scottish farmed. The wild was very dense and dry even after marinating it. The fresh was fatty, moist and delicious even a few days after cooking it.
Btw, I know a lot of Jewish stores don't sell wild caught bec of worms.

Possibly, but many Jewish stores do.

Theres also Wild Salmon with very accepted Hechsherim, who are aware of looking for worms, sold in Costco, I think Ive heard.

The wild salmon at Costco is dryer and denser, but I think that's due to the fact that it is Sockeye salmon. I'm not sure if a farmed Sockeye would be different, I don't believe I've tasted one.
Anyone know know much about the different species of salmon?

I like the salmon at whole foods
It's not wild, but it's not raised in tanks either, I forget what they call it
It comes individually vacuumed pack
