DH said leather is not the same as plastic, as it is somewhat absorbent. Note for example that the stain can set into the fabric.....so it's not the same as a non-absorbent material.

These tablecloths aren't really leather -- they are "faux" (fake) leather. Plastic/vinyl made to look like leather. They feel like plastic and are non-absorbent like plastic.
