I got my Lenox from the outlet. I went through the 'seconds' and found some with random small dots on the back, and got a tremendous discount

I got my Noritake in a bow of 50 pieces for $300 at bed bath and beyond. Maybe less with the discounts.

I didn't buy open stock, but have a nice set of Noritake China from Bed Bath & Beyond, one of the box sets. I was able to use the 20% coupon. Plus after a few yrs 2 of my dishes chipped in the dishwasher and BBB replaced them for free.
