Not sure which topic to put this into.
Just looked at an apartment in the NY area last Wed. There were 4 other people interested in the apartment. On Thursday the landlord asked us for references. How long is appropriate to wait before calling to see if we got it? I asked my reference if he called yet and he did not.
When can we assume that someone else got the apartment? What is the normal amount of time that this takes?
I am in an ichy living situation and I guess I am just antsy to know already that we got it (not if but that we did - positive thinking right?)

I don't think it can hurt by calling immediately. They want to lock in a good tenant as much as you want it to be you
