A couple of weeks ago, my son was injured in school and needed stitches. I don't blame the school at all, kids were being kids and these things happen. I just got a letter from my insurance that before they cover the claim they need me to full out a form with details of the accident. They're probably going to try to go after the school's insurance to cover it. Is this going to make a headache for the school, or are they used to this sort of thing? Should I give them a heads up?

of course tell them ... and ask what their normal procedure is so that you are in the know
